Darfur Alert is a Phialdelphia Area Coalition of grassroots organizations that includes peace, art, women, religious, immigrants rights, African Americans, students, Darfurians, and many other progressive activists who are committed to the support of the oppressed in Darfur and working together to stop the agression and violence on the people of Darfur.

The crowd was estimated by more than 50,000 according to http://www.savedarfur.org/rally/photos/ while the Sudanese embassy's was less than 50 (yes fifty) participants بضع عشرات !!!
